Vasileios Mourtakos is a PhD Student and Researcher at the Laboratory of Traffic Engineering of the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In July 2020, he acquired a Civil Engineer Diploma from NTUA with a specialization in Transportation Engineering. He has participated in European and national research projects and has co-authored research articles for international scientific journals and conferences. His main research interests include simulation techniques regarding multi-agent mobility systems, mining valuable information from data and management of databases, electric, connected and automated vehicles, analysis and management of traffic flow. Furthermore, his is highly skilled in programming, data analysis and engineering and in statistics. Finally, he is working on his Doctoral thesis, which aims at designing and simulating a detailed and reliable multi-agent mobility system in the city of Athens, in order to investigate innovative on-demand mobility solutions employing fleets of electric, connected and automated vehicles.
