Dimitrios Rizopoulos

Dimitris Rizopoulos is a Ph.D. Candidate and Research Associate in the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering, of the school of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Konstantinos Gkiotsalitis. Dimitris is interested in the digitalization of the Transportation & Logistics sectors, and especially in emerging prescriptive analytics applications based on mathematical optimization, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and digital twins. He has an engineering background and specializes in Operations Research (OR). Through his engagement with R&D projects with academic and industrial partners from all over Europe, he has acquired experience in various topics connected to the transportation of individuals and freight.
