Dimitrios Tselentis is a Civil Engineer, PhD and a Research Associate at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a Civil Engineering Diploma and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from NTUA (2012, 2018), majored in Transportation Engineering. His Ph.D. research was on driving behavior assessment using data science techniques.
Since his graduation, he has worked as a researcher in 11 research projects both in NTUA (Greece) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT, Australia). He has published 9 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and 18 scientific papers in international conference proceedings (after peer review), and he serves as a reviewer in 9 scientific journals. His primary research fields are Road Safety, Driving Behavior, Transportation data analysis, Machine Learning applications, Statistics and Econometrics, Traffic Simulation and Forecasting, Energy Efficient Vehicles and Congestion Pricing. He has also worked as a technology consultant since 2014 in several projects of Ernst & Young and OSeven Telematics involving Data and Analytics.
